All of our systems are configurable items, they require testing for everything, updates, patches, new software, cots etc. ATE would be great if the AI was far enough developed.

Agree with Glauco, but SQL Server 2005 has some enhancements to this environment if it is possible to upgrade. Check out the MS website.
