That's not for splitting, that's for concatenating and I actually never used it in production. I do use the split thought for list of ids to process.

Yup this code really deals more with reporting problems than basic sql operations.

It's less efficiant than a single select, but it still takes less ressources than updating a temp table for every occurance of every row and then reselecting the temp table.

The id of all the tables are nullable which means you don't even have a clustered index, also they should be identity (nobody starts that discussion again here please). ...

Where is the data coming from?
Have you check at the presentation options of the datetime field in the forms?
