I know this isn't going to answer your actual question but the one you posted is like this:

exec stored_proc_name @user_id, @password, @Path1

I see nothing wrong with the INSERT statment. Looks to me like you would like to see it more like the UPDATE statement.

Still doesn't answer the question. EXEC isn't a command or program that the operating system understands.

Why are you trying to execute a stored procedure from the command line?

Really not enough info to really help. The problem is we can't see what you see. Can you post the offending query and the DDL for the table(s)...
