The easiest solution would be to execute child package 1 in another loop, and connect it to your original loop with an OnCompletion precedence constraint.

There aren't exactly any changes between 2008 and 2012 regarding how SSRS works internally for rendering reports.
So if it didn't work in 2008, it won't work unfortunately in 2012.
