You should be able to query AD data at runtime, instead of trying to keep it in SQL tables. That way, you don't have to worry about the data...

On the down OLTP server, my first question would be, "what do you mean 'down'?". There's a big difference between "the web pages are slow and customers are complaining"...

Try changing them to Left Outer joins instead of Right Outer. I confused myself by rewriting it a couple of times.

I guess I don't understand your question. If you're creating AD groups, wouldn't you store those in the Active Directory? That's not in SQL.

I think you may be confusing table variables with something else. Or using them in a way I'm not familiar with. Table variables are not inherently slow. ...
