I dug into this a bit more, and there's a flaw in the structure based on the logic.

There are detailed instructions online at MSDN.com for setting this up, and the pros and cons of doing so.

You could put the parts that might fail in a Try block, put error handling in the corresponding Catch block, and put the insert after that, probably in another Try...
