    I was treating the SP variables like ASP variables - didn't know that my "custom" variable had to be "DECLARE"ed instead of just listing it at the top...

    model - this is the template for new databases, if you're making any change to this template, you should back it up. This also stores job histories, including backup/restore...

    Do the update stats before the rebuild/reorg. Reason is that an index rebuild will update stats will full scan, so if you do a sampled update after that you end...
