No idea offhand. This might be something worth contacting customer support about. I could understand if the Hyperthreading was enabled, but not when it's disabled.

If cannot be used within a query. The CASE statement is what you want. There should be some good examples on how to use it in Books Online.

Not uncommon. CheckDB repair deallocates pages to fix the errors, not unusual to have errors in the nonclusters afterwards.
Run CheckDB again, this time with the repair_rebuild option. Afterwards, run checkDB...

sp_updatestats only updates stats that SQL thinks are outdated. When upgrading you need to update all statistics. Use UPDATE STATISTICS.
If it's still slow after that, please post table definitions, index...
