Why don't you just take a backup of the 2000 database and restore it on SQL 2005? Far easier than scripting and importing

Won't be much, if anything, of use in the default trace. It's got a limited set of events.
Run a server-side trace (Not using the profiler GUI) and have a go...

Or run profiler while a bcp task is running and see if it fires either of the Deprecation Announcement or Deprecation Final Support events

Look under the BCP entry in Books Online. If there is no deprecation message there, it is not officially deprecated.

The 'name' column in sys.master_files isn't the database name. It's the logical name of the file. To get the database name, either join to sys.databases or use the db_name function
