A user (from somewhere) connected to the DB and deleted data. SQL doesn't delete data by itself and corruption wouldn't be that clean (it would leave errors that checkDB would...

But am surprised that when a database is set to simple recover model, it will either clear 0 or all vlf. Good to know this.
It won't. It'll only...

It will be interesting to see how many manage to get it wrong.
And how many gripe about Steve's spelling :hehe:

Table or database?
If database, what was wrong with all the answers you got last time you asked this? Specifically the first reply that stated how this needs to be done.

No need to use a DMV at all. In SQL 2005 SP2, the object_name function was enhanced and a second, optional, parameter added. The second parameter is database_id
So, in the...

You don't need to find the page, and there isn't a manual fix.
With sharepoint it's usually better to restore from backup rather than repair. Repair's going to lose data...

The ndf is definitely from a different database as the mdf.
It also looks like the database was SQL 2005 or 2000, not a 2008 database.

Seeing this made me wonder if SQL 2000 and earlier did this differantly.
6.5 may have. 7 and 2000 were the same as 2005+
