Probably what happened is that the reindex pulled lots and lots of data into the cache (as it will) and those pages weren't used again, so they got aged out...

It'll be different questions.
Each test gets a selection of questions from a large pool. You might get one or 2 the same, but that'll be about the most.

If you have a repeatable crash, I recommend you call MS support.
Spid -3 is a symptom, not the problem itself.
