A view's execution plan is not cached. Views don't run independently (like procedures do), they're part of other queries. Those queries get their plans cached, the views don't.

Please post the plan as a .sqlplan file, not excel. Excel's fine for SQL 2000 where there was no other way to save plans.

"Backup Log db with Truncate_only" is deprecated in SQL Server 2008. What is the alternative to this.

SELECT TOP (@take) FROM Something ORDER BY SomeColumn
No need for RowCount, and note that without an order by there's no guarantee which records you get.

All three. Instance's memory settings are independent, so if you want to change 3 instance's memory settings, you have to do it individually in each one.

Order they are requested in. Otherwise it would be possible to have a 'lock starvation' condition where newly requested locks jump in front of older requests due to the type....

Related question: Is leaving the default memory settings in place sometimes better, or is it always better to manually configure the memory settings?
