    DBCC SHRINKFILE('SMS2.2_log', 1)

    ALTER DATABASE [TestDb] SET RECOVERY FULL WITH NO_WAIT

    Dbcc ShrinkDatabase(testdb, TruncateOnly)

    You can start by removing this.

    Breaks database recovery path, results...

    Exactly that, they're not permanently valid (like the older exams were),they have to be renewed

    No, the initial size has no effect, that's literally just the size the log started.

    Log reuse wait desc when the user gets that error?

    How big is the log file?

    Is autogrow...

    Yes, that is how you create a primary key.

    Check what error it's failing with if it doesn't set the PK (my guess, the column is nullable)

    Run a checkpoint first, the value of log_reuse in sys.databases doesn't always immediately update.

    If nothing is holding the log active (log reuse of NOTHING) and shrink...
