And they don't restart their servers to fix data corruption...

Look at the error message. Read what it says. It says nothing at all about the data being out of range.

why dont you change your recovery model to "bulk logged" while your ETLs are scheduled?
Not going to affect the size or usage of the data file in any way.

We already have a complete statistic update up running every day ...
Fullscan or sampled?
Index rebuilds seldom fix performance problems. The stats updates they do however fix many problem
