Perhaps using a derived column handle the isnull conversion of the pipeline data to the value zero before you get to this step?

Since you are using SQL 2008 R2 Express you may be wasting some of your hardware.
Express can only use 1 processor (however many cores are in that processor)...

I'll second all of that, Elliott. I'll also add that I prefer that most things are in the "dbo" schema.
I tend to code to that as well....
