I have an additional suggestion..

Put a computed column in the table that contains the formula and set it to persisted. Then instead of the int column...

They are the same in as far as neither will run.. InnerJoin pretty much makes sure of that.. 😛

Table #tableB is a temp table, it will only exist for the length of your connection or until you drop it, whichever comes first. You must refer to it...
