AWE is not relevant for 64-bit.. So no matter what it is set at it is ignored..

If you have a set number you want to text you could just use Database Mail and send an email to the phone. For sprint it is usually 3335551212@messaging.sprintpcs.com....

What you are describing sounds a lot like "intra-query parallel thread deadlocks". I am working on a similar problem..
