It looks like you aren't the only one to encounter this error. Here's an MS Connect item on it at https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/569732/creating-an-instance-of-the-com-component-with-clsid. There's a fix for it posted there.

I love the internals stuff. I'm currently reading SQL Server 2012 Internals by Kalen Delaney. If anyone's looking for good stuff on the internals, it's one I'd recommend....
