if it is SMTP server IP or server name authentic to send emails from your DB server.

in sql 2005 both gave results at same time or some times != is better but i dont know for what reason.

hope both gives better performanace than cursors.

When there is high CPU & I/O there is some problem with the query, kindly check which query is talking much CPU & I/O and analyse it.

check index as well...

prepare a report with client id as input param then send respective client with his id manualy sent as input param in subscription.

hope same report can be scheduled more time...
