I further tracked down that no triggers are involved in my case. Problem lies in some views that are using some User Defined Functions that are again accessing the views....

I will try this option. But my other servers are accessible through EM/SSMS without adding IP in said file. Can you provide any background reason for this problem?

Certainly it would be a costly to assign db_owner Role to a user for just to let him view the database diagrams. Any other suggestion is welcomed.

This may be an issue. In my case i have relatively small database so i perform a full backup before maintenance process each week.

Index rebuild consumes a lot of Transaction logs. So while rebuilding index i set my database to simple recovery model and after completion of process i set it to recovery...

Statistics will be updated automatically after index rebuild. There is no requirement to separately configure this task.
