No. You could code for the error and have it save the transaction to another db or even to a local disk. Or fire an alert that frees up reserved...

Its a good question and another one I dont know the answer to. I guess the thing to do is formulate a plan for proving the results?

You can run whatever you want as an OS command. Easiest way is to package entire thing as a batch file, call that from the job.
