Easiest way is to use the ADO stream object. Search the site you should find several threads that discuss it and using BLOBS.

Sure. Easiest way is to detach/attach. Look at sp_detach_db and sp_attach_db in Books Online (the SQL help file).

Merge replication does what you want. May take a while to sync, but it should get there. Worth testing anyway.
