Sounds like you've got a bad msg file in the pick up folder. Try looking in the folder and checking each messge (or the bad folder).

Look at the history for the maintenance plan, not the job itself. You can filter to only show failed jobs.

Where are you measuring memory at? Task Manager? From what I've seen it doesn't accurately report it when you use AWE.

Im not a 6.5 guy, used it just enough to get by. Data should still be in sysjobs or whatever, if nothing else should be able to bcp it out/back...
