The easiest way to find out is to actually run the query and use the returned results to check for correctness using the subquery.

You'll only get comfortable with sql by...

-If you have BIDS you can just create a new integration server project and compose the stuff you want to using the import/export wizard.

-You could also just use SQLCMD to...

have a look at this SSC article http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/Administration/65896/ and see if it fits your needs.

With the extra "exists" clause it checks for existance of _any_ data in the query within the brackets.

Because I'm using a Correlated Subquery (check Books Online (bol) for "Correlated Subqueries")

As traced, not all stuff is traceble ....

This dmv contains the witness info.

IMO it is fed behind the scenes.

You'll only see the dbmirroring...

I think the best way may be to trace the witness at mirroring setup time and during a normal witness removal operation.

This way you may be able to find out...
