This is an old hashing algorithm. There's MD3, MD4, MD5 and others called different. Somebody there with it's own hashing algorithm?

Interest Thing you’re proposing: Not to use the database at all, just cache. But how? I encourage you to write an article about that.

Ohhhh! I got it, Thanks!! The body of the object is stored in syscomments. So, in the end they are stored y data pages through system tables.
