Okay, left out that tiny but vital fact. Yes, both SS2005 and Server 2003 are 64bit.

No, dynamic SQL definitely is a good solution. given this case a year in the past, thats the route I would have gone... or likely through SSIS for the case...

I guess you could say that. Technically it's an ID that references another table. Like a PartId or EmployeeId.
TSQL I'm fine with. But I have to exhaust my SSIS...
