Did you recently use the config manager to move any databases around?
Is the MSSQLSYSTEMRESOURCE database still available (usually in the DATA directory).
Check on the status of the flat file db's...

I'd shut down sql completely and simply immage (clone the disks) over onto your HP disks. Any differences should hopefully be handelde by the underlieing san os.
