    I have checked the above steps as you mentioned.

    I am able to send message through SMTP commands but not through SQL mail. So I think no problems...

    I have enabled database mail in SAC tool and SMTP server is put as you described. Using the same SMTP server, I am able to send mail from other server....

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    Actually I got the solution. This was due some of the files missing in .net 3.5. After installing .net and rebooting, the problem got solved.

    Hi,

    I faced similar kind of problem.

    It was because of Some files were missing from .NET 3.5. After installing .net and rebooting, the problem got resolved.

    What does differential backup capture? I mean does it take the changes from last full backup/last differential backup. So for taking differential backup is it necessary to append each time...
