I would use Replication. This is exactly the kind pof thing that it was intended for. I really don't see that roll-your-own triggers would add anything.

I think that what you may really need here is something called a dynamic dimensional model or dynamically updated cube. However, the details and statistics are really important...

The structure of the where clause appears very inefficient to me. It looks like it is doing 16 table scans when it could get away with only 3.

What I am wondering is if your Service process is stalling the output from its SQL Session. That could cause it to act like this.
