You are getting this error because SP_HELP_JOB calls "sp_get_composite_job_info" which in turn tries to use INSERT..EXEC to capture the output from "xp_sqlagent_enum_jobs".

This should work:

INSERT into YourTable( ID, [Name], [ParentID], [RootID] )

Select Id+100, [Name], PaerntId+100, RootID+100

From YourTable

Where RootID = 1

Note: Not tested, as no DDL or sample...
