Yes, I think the Standard template with the three Object events (created, altered, deleted?) added in should do the trick.

Nice idea. I can't get it to work though... keeps throwing the error "ADODB.Connection: Safety settings on this computer prohibit accessing a data source on another domain."

You cannot add a check constraint to a column in a CREATE INDEX statement. Leave out the CHECK(0) and it will work.
