VAS that is full can indicate memory presure. But if you say that VAS is 8 Tera on 64 bit systems i suppose I do not understand the concept.

Workaround that can be used is to create a trigger on the MSDB to update sysjobs table when record created or updated.
update [msdb].dbo.sysjobs
set owner_sid = 0x01

Does this happen with new jobs? I have seen this with maint plans if they are updated but not when you update the job self.

did you use some the the code floating arround on the net. there is scripts called "SQL Server 2005 Diagnostic Information Queries" that you can search for. I use them...

maybe you have checked but have a look at the job owner. Change that to your new user name or if possible to sa.

bcp exports to text file. the fact that you name it xls means that excel will pick it up and reformat it as an xls file when you open it....

The file will report the size the same as the original but if you check the space used (actual size on disk) you will see that it does not consume...
