Until Cloud vendors have a way of getting certified and certain procedures are hammered out (such as patch testing and audits), I think adoption will be slow for hi-risk groups...

Interesting question.
Also thanks, Jason, for the extra info on new databases not inheriting the READ_ONLY setting. I would not have expected this behavior.

I think the important thing is that the time standard be the same across the company, users, clients, etc. It could be any timezone (assuming you drop the DST),...
