    this is a good catch, but CDE links to SSRS and ADOMDClient assemblies only not IIS, so there is nothing depending on IIS.

    just to test whether oracle installed properly I have deployed a report which uses a oracle shared data source and it is working fine which proves that...

    Yes . SSRS 2008 box has required oracle client installed . I have tested this by running a separate report which uses oracle exclusively.

    What do you mean use Oracle...

    Go to Adventureworks -> Views -> System Views -> Right click on "INFORMATION_SCHEMA.DOMAINS" and tell me what you get. Chances are you'll get "Reports/Rename/Refresh/Properties".
