  • RE: Linked Access Database Problem

If you go into the tables tab in Access, it has an option for showing hidden/system tables. The data you need should be in those. I don't remember...

  • RE: Copying Database Mail Accounts

You could try copying the data over. I'd do it to a dev box first, so if it blows anything up, you haven't messed up a production server.

  • RE: Upgrade from 2K to 2K5 Licensing

Microsoft has the whole story on their page, regarding which versions of SQL 2000 can be upgraded to which versions of 2005.

As far as moving a license from one server...

  • RE: VB.Net or C#.Net

Personally, I prefer VB, but that's simply due to the fact that my first programming experiences were in VBA, and VB.NET was easier for me to pick up.

    As far as...

  • RE: Openrowset stops after working for 4-5 days

The thing about resources being exceeded makes me wonder if you have some application not cleaning up its connections. Can you check for that?

  • RE: Passwords in connection strings

You don't want SQL Server decrypting it. You want the front-end or data-connection layer decrypting it.

    Think of it this way:

Someone steals a copy of the config file. They...

  • RE: Frequent calls to sp_send_dbmail result in only few actually sent emails

Do you have software running on that server (applications or services) other than Windows and SQL Server? Do you have calls to external DLLs, either via sp_OACreateObject, xp_CmdShell, or...

  • RE: case sensitive schema

I generally operate in case-insensitive as far as the database is concerned, but I prefer CamelCase for naming. I find it easier to read.

    Your answer is correct.

    else 0

    end) AS Present,

    end)...
