I can assure you that sql did not ignore your case expression. Did you try adding the case as a column in your select? What is returned in that...

Looks like it's got a pretty good install-base, with a lot of companies using it.

A fair number of applications will install SQL Express as their data backend. Mainly if you have third party .NET apps installed. I've seen that a fair number...

No clue on MySQL. I installed a copy of it once, in 2002, played around with it for about an hour, and haven't touched it since. Not against...

Run the installer again. It'll ask if you want to add a new instance or modify an existing one, when you get to the right step.

My church (Scientology Volunteer Ministers) is already sending volunteers into the area to help out. Red Cross always asks us to help out on this kind of thing. ...

Is this SSAS or a regular set of tables? It looks like T-SQL, not MDX, but the object names and explanation gave me a doubt about that.

When it installs, there's an option for the instance name. The installer defaults to SQLEXPRESS or some variation on that (it's been a few months since I installed 2008)....
