I don't know why but my mind simply discarded the possibilty of "Updates" making changes to indexes(pages).  I was stuck in an Insert/Delete only mentality...

I think Rubes is on to me... and I "kinda" understand his date example.

Rubes makes sense to me in that not only are inserts and deletes important at the ROW level,...
