you are correct its 64 bit.....so since I can not lock pages in memory one of the work arounds is to set max/min memory.
So I set it ..sp_configure 'max server...

wish I could George, that would most likely solve my problem.....but you can not lock pages in memory on standard edition......only enterprise....microsoft is looking at this issues know....who knows it...

check your permon and look for target vs total. Target memory is amount of memory sql server can use while Total memory is amount of memory sql server is using.

all depends on the amount of traffic you are getting...the big thing is its not going to hurt it!! it will allow the SQL OS to be a little...

one important thing if you are going to be using temp tables make sure your temp DB is on it own spindle.
With that said make sure you create one...

Hi there,
SQL is always going to grab as much memory as it can. The SQL OS Buffer pool will grab as much as possible, it will then page out...

found the problem, I had left the duration on 15 secs I needed to set it to 1 sec.....and then WORKS
