i have a table with 12 million records. Query is using the best index possible. However i was wondering if i use a query hint will that enhance the process? i will post the query plan and schema later. Any thoughts?

There is no black/white answer, "it depends". It depends more on your specific query and environment. please post your query and plan.

Do you know that the query is paralleling? Do you know that the paralleling is inappropriate? Do you know that it is causing a problem?
