I am using Win 2000 prof Sp4. I have just got SQL server 2005.
I see that there is a choice of install files x64 and x86.
So whats the difference, which files do I install on Win 2000, would I install the same files on Win XP Sp2 ??

Better go or x86 in Windows 2000 SP4. x64 is a 64 bit version of SQL Server 2005. For more details on the bit comparisions, check http://www.microsoft.com/sql

I'd assume your XP SP2 is 32 bit. x64 bit OS can run either 32 bit or x64 bit versions.
I agree with Sugesh - read the compare versions details. This link should also help.
