using Win/AD account in SSAS data connections - can't process cube

    The Windows/AD account has same access on all servers as the SQL account.

    Logs show that when using Win/AD account the connection to SQL is coming from the SSAS service account.

    Is this a kerberos issue? / Double hop.

    Also why can't we specify an SQL account in the Impersonation section - it appears to ignore impersonation settings.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    We resolved this issue. The impersonation account needed to be an AD account and we had it setup as a SQL account.

    Makes sense after thinking about it because SSAS would have no idea where to go to validate the account.
