  I have a server that is version 12.0.6214.1 and here is my issue.

  I can not change the user mapping for a particular user it is a windows login..  I have tried dropping and adding...and nothing works it appears.  I am trying to give db_reader permissions and this login has rights to all the other databases except 4 or 5 and those will not allow me to grant the permissions i want.  So far the only way this user can get access to those 4 or 5 db's is if i grant 'sa' ....

  Thoughts?

  I resolved the issue and it was that i had to delete user from the database as it was disabled at the database level then re-added...
