Upgrading SQL 2005 Active/passive to Active/active cluster

    Hi, I need to upgrade one production A/P cluster to A/A. According to me, I just need to install one more virtual instance on passive node and I need one IP and new disk resources for it.

    Pls let me know if there are some other consideration to convert A/P to A/A.

    Sounds like you have your bases covered...

    one word of caution I have is that with my Active\Active cluster failover is beautiful to node2 and a nightmare to node1 - and it's all about the apps that connect to the db instances. Even though we were told that our apps were able to handle a failover they really weren't without restarting them on the app server and client workstations.
