  Hello,

  I quick question for the guru's. If Full Text Search Service has been running on a server for a number of years, can you still change the account that the service runs on throught SQL Configuration Manager as you would the others, or are there extra steps or precautions that need to be taken?

  Yes. The service account under which the service runs can be changed for Fulltext Search service, same as we do with other SQL services.
