In the Active Topic view, there is no option to subscribe (for email updates) to individual discussions -- can this be added?
Similarly, when viewing the contents of a topic, can a subscription option be added here?

Thanks for the suggestions and we will consider it, but I'm not sure we will. Mainly because we are starting to think that the email discussions detract from the community for the users. Also, they tend to limit traffic, which impacts the ability of the site to survive.
Would an email notification of a change be sufficient if it did not include the content of the change?

I quite understand that. After all, you sell yourself to advertisers as being a resource for umpteen thousand DBAs!

Yes, that was what I was hoping for. This whole area seems to be inconsistent. I get two kinds of updates (with & without message text), which seem to depend on the threads to which I have subscribed!
