  Trying to process a dimension via the agent using the following script:

  ProcessUpdate

  UseExisting

  get error:

  Executed as user: domain\user. Warning: cannot write a log to table. The step failed.

  Don't think its to do with the user permissions as I've tried domain members of the admin group. Any suggestions please.

  Its a bit late for this post but I have a similar problem.

  It seems to happen when I schedule OLAP processing through SQL Agent processing xmla commands.

  I can work around it by not selecting log output to table or include output in job history on the advanced tab of the agent job step editor.
