I have a failover cluster FCI Instance in SQL SERVER 2014
I need to install sp3 patch on both nodes What are the steps to take to ensure the continuity of services

Hi,
it depends, some sql patches / updates you can install on the inactive node, but some updates / patches had to be installed on the active node.
With a cluster, you can get some downtime if you apply patches / updates. Just test this kind of patch / update in your test environment.
If you use an AOAG, you can patch your server without any downtime.
