When I execute a SQL-DMO script that listavailablesqlservers on a specific machine I only get a return of my local server. When I exeucte it on another machine I get all the servers reporting on the network.
What can I look at to investigate this issue?

Not sure. I'd say two possibilities. One is that something is weird on the one machine, the other is that maybe it can't send the request across a subnet to see the other servers.

One possiblility is the OS as NT and 2000 only support this method. Also I don't remember but could be something to do with the protocols installed on the one machine. Otherwise could be as andy suggests.
