  I am working on configuring my first SQL 2005 Ent server. I can connect to the Report Server and Report Manager through IE, however, I receive an error when I try to connect to Reporting Services from within Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. The error is "The request failed with HTTP status 400; Bad request. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.UI.RSClient). My windows account is a member of the db_owner, public and RSExecRole database roles for the ReportServer and the ReportServerTempdb databases. I am a system admin at the server level. Why can't I connect to RS from within SMS? Thanks for the help!!!

  Check the login method and permissions in IIS.
