Hi there,
I am having problems with a remote server implementation. I have defined the server in sys_servers, added remotelogins, given permissions to the objects that are required and defined the local server on the remote server with the appropriate login info.
The process was working then it has just failed.
The error msg that I am getting is...
ServerX.DBCCL1.dbo.InsertOneRecord
Server: Msg 18482, Level 14, State 1, Line 30398816
Could not connect to server 'ServerX' because '' is not defined as a remote server.
has any one come across this before? The interesting this is it usually states the server name twice?
Frustrated...
